Received a call from a customer asking if we could fix up his 69 Coronet R/T.  The car was solid but had a tired motor and trans.  He then asked how far from Arizona we were located. 3 days later a Coronet in need of some serious work showed up

Picture
First thing we did after pulling the engine and trans was to check out the underneath.  Looks like a previous owner hit something and bent the K-Frame.

Picture
Bent sway bar, control arm and strut rod

Picture
Pullled the tired 440 out and gave the engine compartment a good cleaning.

Picture
Removed the heater box and evicted the rats that where living there

Picture
Took dashboard out and checked all switches for proper operation.  Few were not working properly, lucky we were able to get replacements

Picture
While underneath we found some rust on the frame.

Picture
Cut out some patch panels

Picture
Time to  break out the welder and burn some wire

Picture
Uh oh, this not good

Picture
Time  to cut out the torque box

Picture
Here's the new torque box welded in place.  While the other side wasn't as bad, we replaced it.

Picture
Motor and trans ready to go back in

Picture
Anyone good with automotive electrical systems?

Picture
Engine and trans going in the same way it's done at the factory.  (Psst...  don't tell a Mopar nut Volkswagen was doing this long before them.  They get testy  :) )

Picture
All installed

Picture
Not only do we do mechanical stuff, we can do simple interior stuff.  Here's the new carpet installed

Picture
New seat covers installed.   The wrinkles will work themselves out once they been in the sun for a bit.

All done!   Happy owner getting ready for test ride and  then load  it up to take home.
